An essential accessory, it can freshen up the pace. Our tips for buying the right one for you!
At any time of the day
For a busy day, we prefer medium-sized bags, such as a bowling bag, double worn (with handles and shoulder strap): essential and superfluous stuff. For escapades, head for the bag, with a timeless style, which leaves your hands free. The structured bucket bag is a chic companion. Finally, in the evening, it is the clutch (with chains) that we recommend giving style.
Carried by hand or over the shoulder?
For an alert, dynamic look, long live the shoulder bag. Practical, it frees the hands, allows you to move with ease. For a touch of elegance and modernity, metal chain shoulder straps are welcome.
Fan of handbags? They don't necessarily age: it's more a question of style and choice of a bag than age. In general, it is better to abandon bags that are too classic or too masculine, for models with a less strict look. The fake hand carried is a good compromise: the handle gives style, but it is worn over the shoulder.
Micro-bag, purse bag… we dare! It's all about having fun. If the bag fits your style, your activities, and your needs, then there is no faux pas. As for the couture bag, it can be a timeless and chic accessory. Be careful, however, to the imposing logos and flashy buckles, which give a touch of old past the fifties.
The right colour for every season
In winter, we prefer a plum, an emerald green, a duck blue, more nuanced than the classic black, while remaining very elegant. In summer, we will go for nude or navy-blue models, very chic and feminine. The red also gives a nice boost to the silhouette.
Missteps
Backpacks, maxi fringes, and girly prints should be avoided after your fifties. Just like the "retro" models which can be very trendy, but, on a classic look, age more.
