Fashion Trends for Autumn 2020

Updated: Oct 6, 2020

That’s it, since 21st September we have officially moved into autumn! Great, the cold that arrives, the shorter days. Of all seasons, autumn is my favourite when it comes to fashion! It’s the return of the beautiful boots, jeans and knit sweaters, but it’s also an opportunity to try out the new trends of the day.

The leaves are falling, the temperatures are dropping ... no doubt: autumn is here! And with it, it is the fashion trends of the cold season that are pointing the tip of our noses. Between autumnal colours, warm materials and seasonal prints, fashion designers have planned for us a slew of trends, each more canon than the last.

I don't know about you, but the habit of adding something new to my wardrobe is always done in the autumn. I love this season! If it could be October all year round, you would have a happy girl here 100% of the time!

For this autumn, there are trends and various styles. Some elements come back almost every year.

The autumn wardrobe welcomes fashion details that make all the difference. From accumulated fringes to extravagant feathers, autumn looks reveal unparalleled fashion potential.

Balloon sleeves, already essential last season, are making a comeback, sweater dresses, mid-season jackets and oversized blouses. Same story for the textured bra, mesh or vinyl, which seduces fashionistas for several seasons.

Autumn 2020 trend colours

One thing is certain: this autumn will be pop or it will not be. This season, if the blue sky is hidden under the grey, there will always be our clothes to remind us of the colours of spring.

Vitamin and pastel colours brighten up the season and stand out on accessories or as a total look. The yellow and pink, already present in last season, will put the cover back. Chick yellow on our winter sweaters and fuchsia pink pants: fans of bright colours will be delighted.

Trendy prints and fabrics for autumn 2020

The check clings to the pieces of our wardrobe and is reinvented in pink, yellow or blue on pantsuits and mid-season jackets. It is also found on fashion accessories such as shoes and handbags.

Like every season, you will find the flower print. As popular as the black dress, it’s a star and it’s hard to get enough of it.

On the material side, it is the big comeback of silk. On autumn dresses and blouses, maxi silk is the rule. And that's all.
